XAUUSD Strategy Framework

One market. Multiple lenses. Defined risk.

GoldEdge combines technical analysis, fundamentals, sentiment and price action to identify and evaluate trading opportunities in the gold market.

01 / TECHNICALS

Technical structure

Trend, support and resistance, momentum, volatility and market structure help frame potential setups and invalidation points.

02 / FUNDAMENTALS

Macro context

Interest-rate expectations, inflation, central-bank communication, the US dollar and economic releases can affect gold pricing.

03 / SENTIMENT

Market positioning

Risk appetite, safe-haven demand and shifts in market expectations can add context, while remaining uncertain and changeable.

04 / PRICE ACTION

Price behaviour

We assess how price reacts around important levels and whether the market confirms or invalidates a trading thesis.

05 / RISK

Position sizing

Risk is considered before entry, including stop distance, account equity, exposure and the possibility of gaps or slippage.

06 / REVIEW

Process evaluation

Trade outcomes are reviewed in context. A disciplined process can still experience losing streaks and drawdowns.

Published Risk Framework

Parameters that guide the process.

GoldEdge’s stated framework includes the following internal targets. These are strategy parameters, not guarantees or limits on the losses an investor can experience.

2–3%
Stated risk per trade
1:3
Minimum intended reward-to-risk target
10%
Stated overall equity risk appetite
25%
Stated minimum monthly profit target, with monthly HWM reference

Important interpretation: “risk per trade” and “overall equity risk appetite” are manager-defined parameters; realised loss can differ due to gaps, slippage, correlation, execution conditions and multiple positions. The 25% target is aspirational, not a promised or expected return. A high-water mark (HWM) and any performance-fee mechanics must be clearly defined in the official PAMM offer before investors rely on them.

Our execution sequence

Assess conditions

Review technical structure and the fundamental calendar; identify relevant volatility and sentiment factors.

Define the trade

Set the thesis, invalidation level, potential reward, position size and acceptable exposure before execution.

Manage and review

Monitor the position against the plan, recognise changing conditions and review the outcome without assuming any trade is certain.
